Here's What Our Students and Parents are Saying About Us....

What others say about you is often more important than what you say about yourself. Here are some comments from students and parents.

Your staff is really fine!  It's just fun to come in.

"Just a quick note to tell you that our experience with Naperville Music has always been fabulous. Both of my boys have taken music lessons at your store, for years, and have enjoyed their instructors so much. I have a drummer and a guitarist and they actually play quite well together. Occasionally, you'll send us a special coupon or discount and we always take advantage of that! We've bought a drum set from you for a really great price and millions of music books among other things. Always a great value. Your staff is really fine! The guys are great, always friendly, with a smile on their faces and ready to crack a joke or have a story! It's just fun to come in. They all seem to know who we are too, and that is a great feeling in this day and age of anonymity. I would not hesitate to recommend your store and have on many occasions! " Kim G.

Encouraged him to be more confident in his playing, and to take on new

challenges

"We have a wonderful cello teacher for my son. She's encouraged him to be more confident in his playing, and to take on new challenges. He enjoys his lessons, and she's made a real difference in his musical education. I think it is due to her positive attitude that he wants to continue playing on into high school. I really appreciate her regular communication on his progress, her patience, and her commitment."  Linda, Naperville

Very helpful in helping us choose an instrument and accessories suitable for a

beginner.

"Last summer, my youngest son was interested in playing the electric bass guitar (He also plays tuba). I called a number of places to inquire about renting on a trial basis, since I wasn't sure he would continue his interest and involvement with a second instrument. Naperville Music had the most attractive rent-to-buy program. I really liked the option to return all the equipment within two months if my son lost interest or couldn't dedicate enough time for both instruments. The sales person was very helpful in helping us choose an instrument and accessories suitable for a beginner. As it turns out, my son decided to keep playing and we purchased the equipment with Naperville's convenient monthly payment option. I also took advantage of a discount by paying off the balance early.   We began guitar lessons with a private instructor, but decided to try a lesson at Naperville Music. My son really liked his lessons, and after several weeks, we discontinued our private lessons to switch to weekly lessons at Naperville Music. My son has really enjoyed playing bass guitar for nearly a year. He is now expressing interest in electric guitar also. We'll see what happens." Lisa Z

I am very satisfied with my experiences at Naperville Music

"My name is Vince and I have been taking guitar lessons from Craig for about six months now. He is extremely knowledgeable and directs our sessions in an informal but productive manner. It does not matter that I am 50 and returning to my youth days of yester-year when I played for a few years. He challenges me every week with something new to learn. I must admit, I did not think it would be this much fun and I actually look forward to my weekly lesson. The entire staff is very friendly. Every time I walk into the store I am greeted with a personal hello from each of the staff members and when I need assistance picking out some accessories for my guitar (amp, new strings, carrying bag, etc) they all are helpful in providing me with what I need, not what they want to sell me. I am very satisfied with my experiences at Naperville Music." Vince

Our teacher is awesome

"Our 9-year-old daughter, has been taking Clarinet lessons. Our teacher is awesome. Great with kids. Very personable, professional, and patient as well as a very talented musician herself. We are very impressed with Naperville Music. The staff always smiles and greets us when we first walk in the door and ready to answer any questions we might have. The lessons are very well organized and tailored to each individual and the lesson follow-up emails have been very helpful for at home practice sessions.  We've gone to other music stores and no one else can come close to the outstanding service Naperville Music provides." Paul M Woodridge, IL

It has given him personal confidence, a skill and pride in his accomplishments

"Thank you for caring enough to ask, "How am I doing?" Not enough businesses do that these days. I assume you would take any comments and not just the good ones. I actually only have good ones and here they are: My son Grant has been taking drum lessons from John for almost a year. I started into this lesson plan thinking I was giving my son a chance to make some noise and maybe learn a little about music. I must say he showed little interest in music before he took lessons. John has helped Grant turn an interest into a passion. He loves the encouragement he gets each week and the progress he has made. This has been a big win for my son. It has given him personal confidence, a skill and pride in his accomplishments. In the Junior High School world he lives in most kids try hard not to be different. Drums have given him the confidence to be proud of his passion and not be afraid that he is only one of a few kids his age that loves music. I can see it shaping his life in a positive way and I am thankful for that. I want to thank you and your staff for the friendly and knowledgeable service we get and the quality tutoring that will stay with my son his whole life. Please extend my comments to John so he knows the impact he has had on Grant." Sincerely, Mark D

Always made the lesson fun

"I just wanted to take a quick minute to tell you how happy I am with Renee's piano lessons. I always thought Renee would take to the piano but I am surprised how quickly she has. I am giving her teacher the credit for that. Jeanette has always made the lesson fun for Renee and I can't tell you how important I think that is for getting Renee involved. Renee looks forward to her Tuesday night lesson almost as much as I enjoy listening to her progress. Keep up the good work! " Mike S

I think all ages of musicians will be pleased with what you have to offer

"I'm sure the majority of your students are school age so this will be an odd testimonial in that respect. I am a seasoned student in full life crisis (no mid life for me I either go all the way or don't go) who always wanted to play the drums. I finally pulled the trigger and called Naperville Music one day seven years ago (you're right in my neighborhood and I passed your sign for years) to pursue. You made it easy for me to fit lessons in to my busy schedule, were very reasonable, matched me up with a great drum instructor (who has been patient-helpful-flexible and retains a sense of humor no matter how badly I perform the lesson plan) and even gave me the best price on a drum set when I got ready to buy. Your staff has always been cordial and helpful. I hope having shared this that young and seasoned people will give Naperville Music a shot. I think all ages of musicians will be pleased with what you have to offer." Michael J. S, Naperville, IL

The staff is knowledgeable and professional at all times

"My son is in taking piano lessons with Roger at Naperville Music. I cannot tell you how pleased I am with your facility. We have tried several other options including at home lessons but none have worked out as well as with Naperville Music. The staff is knowledgeable and professional at all times. The atmosphere inspires the love of music and encourages my son to stay interested in his lessons. I have spoken to other parents who take their kids to your facility and they have all said that their instructors are patient and tolerant and teach at age appropriate levels. There are places closer to our home that we could take lessons from but I have found from experience that your facility is worth the extra effort. Thank you so much for the great service!" Cheryl E.

I would be happy to recommend Naperville Music to anyone!

"I would be happy to recommend Naperville Music to anyone! We chose it because a friend recommended it to us and got very lucky. Our son was placed with Evan and really enjoys the guitar. He practices much more than required and I never have a problem getting him to come in from playing to go to lessons. As soon as the others are ready, we will start them at Naperville Music, too."Julie K

It's been a true pleasure to work with the store staff and the music teachers.

"Naperville Music has provided top quality band rental instruments at better than fair prices. My daughter has benefited from the private lessons that are offered at the store as well. We've always found the staff to be professional, friendly and knowledgeable--they're ready to help with any questions and needs that we've had. It's been a true pleasure to work with the store staff and the music teachers." Robin J., Flute Woodridge, IL

It scores a big thumbs-up from our family

"We are really delighted with the instrumental lessons that our kids are receiving. The younger one (age 5) learns guitar and the older one (age 7) piano, neither having tried music previously. The staff is friendly, upbeat, encouraging and professional and the classes are structured, challenging and fun. You get great choice in terms of available teaching days and hours and you are able to change without difficulty to a different teacher if the need arises. For example, we tried more than one guitar teacher to find the perfect choice for our challenging 5-year-old son! Additionally you are not tied into more than 4 lessons at a time so there is no huge financial commitment up front and finally if you are looking for lessons for more than one child it is usually possible to timetable them at the same time or within an hour of each other. Another bonus is that you can get on- the-spot advice from the staff behind the desk at the store as well as stock up on sheet music, instruments and instrumental supplies. I think Naperville Music is excellent and my kids are very happy with their experiences to date. It scores a big thumbs-up from our family. Thanks,"  Vanessa H

We are lucky to have Naperville Music in the neighborhood.

"For many years, I have encouraged my sons to learn a musical instrument. They both went through the middle school music program, but their interest quickly waned. Then, when they were 15 and 17, they showed interest in acoustic guitar and bass drum. We began lessons for both. As you are well aware, teenagers have very high expectations. I was so pleased to hear the answer to the question, "how did it go?" after the first lessons. They both responded, "great!" They look forward to their lessons and are learning quite rapidly. I attribute their success to the rapport they each have with their instructors. We are lucky to have Naperville Music in the neighborhood. Keep up the good work!"  Linda F

Naperville Music has been great!

"Thanks for all the great staff. My daughter plays 2 instruments (one new); our instructor has helped us with a transition into jazz band, solo and ensembles and has been very flexible. The staff can always answer questions on the spot (we have evening lessons). Naperville Music has been great! " Julie M   I’m not an easy sell, but have been constantly impressed with their commitment to excellence   "Our family tried Naperville Music over 8 years ago when the first of our sons wanted to try€ Orchestra. At the time, the schools recommended a select vendor but we had heard of Naperville Music and found their prices to be competitive, so why not save money?   Our experiences: Son, Max (violin), Son, Jacob (violin), Mom, Donna (piano) Daughter, Renee (cello) €“ have all been positive. Rich and his staff care about keeping their clients happy and working with the students on an individual level. Whether you are renting an instrument (the best deal in town for quality rentals) or taking private lessons (they have a great program at reasonable prices), you won’t be disappointed with Naperville Music. I am so impressed with them that every year, when the annual Orchestra/Band€ sign ups take place, I tell every parent I know to give Naperville Music a try. I’m not an easy sell, but have been constantly impressed with their commitment to excellence." The F. Family Wheaton, IL

Enthusiastic and fun.

"My daughter has been taking guitar lessons at Naperville Music since this past summer. She really likes working with her teacher because he is enthusiastic and fun. She especially likes how he lets her participate in choosing the music that she will learn. She practices at home without me asking her to do so because the music is what she is into." Sarah L.

We love the instructors

"We’ve been customers at Naperville Music for 4 years now. We have two daughters, and both played the violin in 4th and 5th grade orchestra. We rented both violins from Naperville Music, and have enjoyed the rental services you’ve provided. The people at the counter are always very friendly and very helpful. Both daughters have also taken guitar and violin lessons in your store, and we love the instructors! We took a few months off from lessons, it was actually my daughters who asked when they could go back for more lessons. They truly enjoy coming in every week, and you can hear it when they play at home! They continually improve, and are happy to practice, thanks to your instructors. We really appreciate you!" Matt and Debbie P.

I couldn't have picked a better place to take my lessons

"My name is Jeni C. I play the violin. I am a 36 year old stay at home mom. I have never played the violin before I started lessons. My teacher has helped me become confident with my violin. She pushes but not too hard. She works with my crazy life and schedule. She has met my children and often asks about them. I couldn't have picked a better place to take my lessons. I am proud of my accomplishments." Jeni C.

I enjoy the sincerity and genuine caring that takes place between your colleagues

and their students.

"Three years ago when I asked around the Christmas dinner table who would like to learn how to play the guitar with me, my 13 grand daughter raised her hand. I explained I was about to retire and having a go at learning the guitar was one of my many rainbows to chase but I wanted a partner. At the time I hadn't a clue where to start. Fortunately, my "Naperville" daughter had heard excellent reports about Naperville Music that led to an interview with Craig Meyer. Now I'm 64 and my grand daughter was 13 at the time which represents quite a spread in our musical taste but Craig immediately put us both at ease and channeled his teaching to suit our interests. Meanwhile her younger brother Max (@ age 10) started drum lessons with John. Both grandchildren learned appreciation for music, discipline, skills and had a lot of fun along the way. Never did they complain--quite the opposite, they looked forward to class each week. Max too has taken some time off for basketball but practices at home on a regular basis and looks forward to a time when he again can get back on a regular schedule with his friend John the teacher. Me>>>well I'm still trying to learn the guitar--I'll never be an accomplished player but I'm learning each week and enjoying every moment and look forward to next weeks class with Craig. I'm confident there are skilled instructors closer to Western Springs but I drive the 20 miles each week to learn from Craig. I want to compliment the management of Naperville Music on the effort you put forth to seek out the quality individuals you hire to staff your instructional programs. Although I only have first hand experience with Craig and John I watch the other instructors and witness the relationships they build with their students. I enjoy the sincerity and genuine caring that takes place between your colleagues and their students. Keep up the good work--you have found the formula." Cordially, Colin H

I would recommend Naperville Music to anyone seeking a high quality instruc-

tional experience

"Kyle began with Clarinet and eventually transitioned to Bass Guitar. All of the instructors that Kyle has encountered have been very professional and well qualified. Kyle continues with the bass and is very pleased with the lesson methodology. Naperville Music has always been very accommodating to our schedule issues. I would recommend Naperville Music to anyone seeking a high quality instructional experience." Steve B.

Our experience with Naperville Music has been a genuinely pleasurable one

We’ve had a ten-year relationship with Naperville Music, starting with my older son, who took bass guitar from Craig. My younger son began with piano lessons 8 years ago, and then switched to electric guitar, again with Craig, 3 years later. He’s still going strong. Throughout the entire ten years, the teaching experience has been more than satisfying. As my sons have been very different students, I genuinely appreciated the very distinct attention they received from their teachers.   We’ve also found the music store experience offered by Naperville Music to be more flexible than with a private teacher. My son’s activities have changed many times over the years, and Naperville Music has always found a way to accommodate those changes. In addition, the staff is always knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to investigating new instruments and equipment. Our experience with Naperville Music has been a genuinely pleasurable one, and the only time we’ll consider leaving is when our youngest graduates from high school and moves on. Sandy P., Naperville, IL   "As you are well aware, teenagers have very high expectations. Keep up the good work! " Linda F.

I would recommend Naperville Music to anyone seeking a

high quality instructional experience

"Kyle began with Clarinet and eventually transitioned to Bass Guitar. All of the instructors that Kyle has encountered have been very professional and well qualified. Kyle continues with the bass and is very pleased with the lesson methodology. Naperville Music has always been very accommodating to our schedule issues. I would recommend Naperville Music to anyone seeking a high quality instructional experience." Steve B.

Our experience with Naperville Music has been a genuinely

pleasurable one

Keep up the good work! " Linda F.
