What Sized Instrument Do I Need?
These are three most common ways to determine the size string instrument your child needs

-
Most parents will find out the size of string instrument from the students teacher
-
If not, we recommend you bring your child to our store and we will be able to accurately and quickly measure the student for the correct size string instrument.
-
If that is not possible, you can follow these steps to determine the correct size.

-
Have your student stand up straight with their left arm extended perpendicular to their body at shoulder height. Their arm should be extended naturally and not forced completely straight.
-
Gently place a tape measure or yardstick against the student’s neck and along the extended arm.
-
Measure the distance in inches to the middle of the student’s palm.
-
Use the chart below to determine the appropriate size of the instrument the student needs. If the student is on the edge of two sizes, we recommend going with the smaller size
-
As the student grows, we will exchange your instrument for a larger size..
