At Naperville Music we believe that a instrument can have a very long life and sometimes many lives. Your instrument might be the first one you ever acquired, or perhaps it was passed down through the family for generations. Regardless, it can and does bring enjoyment to many people whether by playing it or others listening to it be played.

We understand that sometimes you just might have to part ways with it, and that's ok. That's where we come in. We want to help you pass that amazing instrument along to someone else so they can enjoy it and add to the wonderful story of that instruments life.

So, let's talk a little bit about the Brokerage process. It's simple, straight forward and streamlined. All you have to do it sit back and let us do all the work. Here are some general FAQ's:

If this sounds like something you would be interested in then please feel free to stop in with your item or click the button below to fill out a form and we will contact you within a day or two. Once we have talked, the following process will begin:

The FREE Evaluation

Just bring in your instrument to Johnny and he will create a service ticket for you. Over the next couple days he will look it over to gauge the condition, playability and over all look. With this info he can then determine the value of your instrument. Once he has acquired this, he will give you a call to discuss his findings at which point you can make the decision to move forward or hold on to it with no strings attached.

Deciding to Sell

We will email you an "Authorization to sell Agreement" for you to fill out and sign. Once we receive this back we will begin the process of getting the guitar ready.

Getting it Ready

At this point we will begin getting it cleaned up. we will take Photos, Create the Reverb Listing, Post it to our Social media and Website. We will also include it in our Monthly new inventory Email we send out to our customer database.

Item Sells

If sold online we will begin getting it ready for shipment. This involves things that may be needed such as polishing or a new set of strings. We will bubble wrap it and pack it safely in a box for transportation. We will then confirm with the buyer once it reaches its destination that it arrived safely and in good condition.

Receiving Payment

Once the 10 day waiting period has expired (required) and the buyer has not changed his mind, we will issue you a check with a breakdown of all fees along with an invoice for the transaction, of course delivered to you in your preferred method. (Mail, or Pickup)
